In 2021 WA Police recorded 80 burglaries in Cooloongup. In 2025 the count was 21, a fall of 73.8% in five years. The 2017 figure was 114, so over the longer run the drop is 81.6%. Motor vehicle thefts eased too, from 20 in 2021 to 10 in 2025.

At 3.1 burglaries per 1,000 residents in 2025, Cooloongup now sits below the metropolitan Perth rate of 4.0. The figure is a combined one for homes and businesses, as it is for every suburb.
